Lyrics:
Yeah baby I hope you don’t misunderstand me
My philosophie was you and me, even up my dreams it is
you I see
The puzzle, the puzzle incomplete can’t you see you
was all I needed
I’m sad trying to hold back, but tears rolling fast
with this pain in my past
Honestly I feel weak, well it’s hard to explain but
you drive me insane
Refrain
Girl I wrote this letter to let you know forever
I keep you in my heart when I’m leaving you
Girl I wrote this letter and it ain’t getting better
That is why I can’t be with you
Ps: I still love you
My only question: do you miss me when I am gone?
Tell me girl?! Tell me
It is reality that you’re playing me
You took my inner breath
Cause I was blind to see
Now I know that I have to go
Why don’t you see I was all you needed
Wanna stay but it ain’t ok that he is with you
And it’s me who’s alone
Refrain
Girl I wrote this letter to let you know forever
I keep you in my heart when I’m leaving you
Girl I wrote this letter and it ain’t getting better
That is why I can’t be with you
Ps: I still love you
I was the one that you could always count on, lean on
but those days are gone
All we have are memories of better days
Now I need to say goodbye
Refrain
Girl I wrote this letter to let you know forever
I keep you in my heart when I’m leaving you
Girl I wrote this letter and it ain’t getting better
That is why I can’t be with you
Ps: I still love you..(2x)

I want to post my resume on a website that has postings for numerous jobs that I might be qualified for. This site allows you to post your resume and one cover letter and then you can click on the particular jobs that you want to apply for. All of my previous job applications have been targeted at a particular position –and I worded the cover letters accordingly. How do I write a cover letter that adequately shows my strengths without targeting a particular job/position or employer?
A cover letter is always a good idea. It gives enough information about you and your capabilities so that the employer will be interested in talking with your personality.
The letter should relate specifically to the company and person to whom you are writing. If you haven’t already done so, find out as much as you can about each firm and individual you plan to ask for an interview. Try to talk with some one who has been working with the firm, ask for literature, such as the annual report that explains the firm and its policies, check the company’s WEB SITE, or check out the firm at Hoover’s Online, The Wall Street Journal’s Career Journal or Wet Feet’s Company Profiles.
1. Use correct grammar.
2. Address it to a specific person by name, including the job title in the inside address.
Include the following:
a) Brief greeting including how you heard about the opening
b) The position you are applying for
c) Your basic qualifications for the position and any accomplishments or career highlights that might interest the employer enough to contact you
d) Any other information you feel is pertinent to the specific job without repeating information found in your resume. Justify any holes in the resume if necessary, like the five year gap when you didn’t work at all!
e) End with a paragraph requesting an interview, including your phone number and e-mail address and when you can be reached.
BE SURE YOU INCLUDE THE DATE …A RETURN ADDRESS… AND AN INSIDE ADDRESS.
E-mails don’t need addresses.
Sign the letter in blue or black ink only. NO EMOTICONS

I am submitting my resume together with a cover letter online (not as a hard copy) as requested by the company. I am, however, wondering – do I need to sign the letter in this case and if so, how do I sign it? I scanned my signature and inserted in the letter, but is it appropriate? Should I just type my name and leave it unsigned?
You don’t need to sign it, but I sign alot of documents electronically with Adobe Acrobat.
Honestly, as someone who sees alot of resumes, I wouldn’t care at all. In fact, I might see the signature as unnecessary and overdoing it, depending on my mood.
Keep your focus on the fundamentals: follow up call to confirm they recieved it and ask for appointment, do research on the company, be prepared for standard interview questions, send thank you emails to everyone you meet with, etc.
Go for it, and Good luck!

I did not ask for my letter of recommendation from my cooperating teacher. I was not planning to teach right away; my plan was to continue my education and get letters of recommendation then, well instead found a job out of the country. It has been a year since I student taught now, I am back and need that letter of recommendation. How do I go about asking?
Just ask. If you and your cooperating teacher had a great working relationship, this should not be a problem.

Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen
Brownstones, water towers, trees, skyscrapers
Writers, prize fighters and Wall Street traders
We come together on the subway cars
Diversity unified, whoever you are
We’re doing fine on the One and Nine line
On the L we’re doin’ swell
On the number Ten bus we fight and fuss
‘Cause we’re thorough in the boroughs and that’s a must
I remember when the Duece was all flicks
Running home after school to play PIX * 1
At lunch I’d go to Blimpies down on Montague Street
And hit the Fulton Street Mall for the sneakers on my feet
Dear New York I hope you’re doing well
I know a lot’s happen and you’ve been through
So, we give thanks for providing a home
Through your gates at Ellis Island we passed in droves
Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen
The L.I.E. the B.Q.E
Hippies at the band shell with the L.S.D.
Get my BVD’s from VIM
You know I’m reppin’ Manhattan the best I can
Stopped off at Bleeker Bob’s got thrown out
Sneakin’ in at 4:00 am after going out
You didn’t rob me in the park at Dianna Ross
But everybody started looting when the light went off
From the South South Bronx on out to Queens Bridge
From Hollis Queens right down to Bay Ridge
From Castle Hill to the Lower East Side
From 1010 WINS to Live At Five
Dear New York this is a love letter
To you and how you brought us together
We can’t say enough about all you do
‘Cause in the city were ourselves and electric too
Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen
Shout out the South Bronx where my mom hails from
Right next to High Bridge across from Harlem
To the Grand Concourse where my mom and dad met
Before they moved on down to the Upper West
I see you’re still strong after all that’s gone on
Life long we dedicate this song
Just a little something to show some respect
To the city that blends and mends and tests
Since 911 we’re still livin’
And lovin’ life we’ve been given
Ain’t nothing gonna take that away from us
Were lookin’ pretty and gritty ’cause in the city we trust
Dear New York I know a lot has changed
2 towers down but you’re still in the game
Home to many rejecting no one
Accepting peoples of all places, wherever they’re from
Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen

Aside from your resume, writing a cover letter is a must as you apply for a job. When you express your interest for a certain position in a company, the first contact that you can make is by writing a cover letter. What use will the resume have if the formal communication is not passed on to the recruiting officer? The cover letter is in fact the provider of your chance to be invited to the office and be granted an interview.
The Real Deal in Writing a Cover Letter
Writing the cover letter will give enough insights in highlighting the qualifications you’ve got so that you will get the chance of landing the job you so want to get. Before an employer will take time to read your resume, he will firstly take a look at your cover letter. Indeed, writing the cover letter cannot be ignored. If your cover letter is not properly written, then the recruiting officer is likely to dump it and waste no interest on you at all. Such a tough job, right?
Writing a cover letter is the basic step which you have to take before you can even think of getting the job you have an eye on. Do not misconstrue the nature of a cover letter because it is not like any other of the personal letters which you are so acquainted of writing about such as the ones you send to your parents and pals. You should take note that writing a cover letter requires sufficient knowledge regarding the format and the construction of its content.
What You Need to Know Before Writing a Cover Letter
Before you deal with writing a cover letter, first research on the basics of the company you are interested in. Know its goals, the nature of the jobs therein, and the requirements asked from every applicant. Once you’ve gathered the necessary information on these things, you may now start on writing a cover letter.
In writing the body of your cover letter, you must be certain about what you say. You should note that facts must support every word you write therein. Do not mention the skills which are not even in your own personality. Put yourself on the part of the reader as always. Try making a draft and show it to your friends. It is important that you seek their opinion because they will likely help you realize the impact which your cover letter makes.
Likewise, gather your certificates. Recall the essential trainings and conventions which you had attended and which you deem will boost your qualifications. Highlight your skills and show that you can be efficient in the position you are applying for. It is important that you impress the employer but do not appear like you are boasting.
It is important that you remain polite and filled with gratitude as you write a cover letter. Most of the employers focus on the attitude gleaned from the cover letter you submit and it is the key to you getting invited for interview or examination. Know for certain that you will be the one who is going to be liable whether you be called for an interview or not. The success of your application depends on the type of cover letter you write.
