How long should a letter of reccomendation be?
January 31st, 2010 | by admin |I asked my boss to write me a letter of recommendation for my college applications, and he wrote me a very short one. It is only one paragraph long. What he said in it is very kind and looks great, so does the length reallly matter? I’m freaking out 
My other letter from a teacher is amazing and is about four paragraphs long.
It should be at least 2 paragraphs but don’t ask to lie but to literally stretch the truth.

They should be a couple paragraphs in length and give the person receiving the letter a general sense of your feelings towards the individual.

The length does not really matter….it is the content that matters…. if it is admission to a not most competitive college, any decent grades with good ordinary recommendations would do…. however if you are applying to the most competitive colleges…you essay are going to decide whether you get in or not as the admission officers use them to determine whether you are someone who would fit in nicely or help them improve their reputation in future..
