How would one write a letter to the editor over anti illegal Immigration without sounding like a racist?
October 23rd, 2009 | by admin |If you were to write a 250 word letter to your paper over anti(It would a letter to the editor against the illegals and all of their freebies, states that have taken law and made it tougher for illegals there) illegal Immigration , how could you do it and not sound like a racist, yet get people’s attention to this growing problem? Any ideas? The letter would have to apply to all sorts of communities and cities.
Speak about laws, money, financial strains, effects on schools and education, deportation policies, Congressional actions (or lack of), etc. As long as you do not mention or target specific nationalities, language groups, ethnicities, or races it will be fine. Keep it to the point – its a legal and civil concern.

For one you must give a very good reason why you feel that the Latinos shouldn’t be apart of the American Culture and due to the fact that there is such thing as Amnesty and that we are all Immigrants in some way, shape or form that will be very, very hard to do. That will also be sounding just like TV host Lou Dobbs someone that only want to hear and bring out the bad but never the good when it comes down to Latinos in America. You emphasize the fact that illegal immigrants are illegal and not that they come from a certain country or area. Emphasize what the law is, not what race the prople are. Talk about how illegal immigrants are working and living in our communities and that because of that, the law-abiding citizens are not getiing the jobs they need to take care of their families. Talk about how people cannot find cheap housing because many illegal families have housing even though they should not be eligible to buy or rent property because of their legal status. Focus on the legality rather than the race of those you are talking about.
