Why Do I Need A Auto-responder?

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

If you’ve just started your online business or decided to get into affiliate marketing, you’ll be looking to make money.  Making money on the net with your new business can be a little tricky, unless you have an autoresponder.  An autoresponder is the ideal way to carry out your day to day business – saving yourself quite a bit of time and money.

If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, there are places on the Internet where you can get an autoresponder for free.  Keep in mind that if you don’t purchase your autoresponder, the free ones ordinarily come with downsides.  The most common downside to free autoresponders are ads on your emails, which will more than likely send your customers the wrong idea.

When you get your autoresponder, the first thing you’ll need to do is set it up with messages or articles that relate to your business. This way, when you send out emails or messages, you’ll be sending out material that relates to your business or products.  You should try to write some of your own if you can, which will help you get started in the right direction.

When you load up your autoresponder, you should try to load it with at least 52 messages.  This way, you’ll have something to send for each week of the year.  If you have trouble loading your autoresponder with this many messages or articles, there are places online where you can get your material for free.  If you simply don’t have the time, you can always start with a few messages then go back and add more later.

Once you have your autoresponder preloaded with messages or articles, you’ll need to set up your signature.  Your signature will be displayed at the bottomland of every message your autoresponder sends, and should be your name and link to your business.  You can also add a short description of your business as well, which will let clients or interested customers know a bit of information about your business.  Your name and link to your business will go a long way, letting your customers know that you are professional.

Once you have everything set up, all you need to do is start sending out emails.  Your autoresponder can be set up to send messages automatically.  You can also send out emails daily, weekly, or monthly if you prefer.  virtually all autoresponders are flexible, easy to use, and will send out your messages when you decide.  Once your subscriber list starts to build up, and you get more email addresses to your autoresponder, you’ll quickly see that it’s very good. After you have used your autoresponder a few months – you won’t be able to consider your business without it.

How do you sign your cover letter if you are emailing it?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

I am submitting my resume together with a cover letter online (not as a hard copy) as requested by the company. I am, however, wondering – do I need to sign the letter in this case and if so, how do I sign it? I scanned my signature and inserted in the letter, but is it appropriate? Should I just type my name and leave it unsigned?

You don’t need to sign it, but I sign alot of documents electronically with Adobe Acrobat.

Honestly, as someone who sees alot of resumes, I wouldn’t care at all. In fact, I might see the signature as unnecessary and overdoing it, depending on my mood.

Keep your focus on the fundamentals: follow up call to confirm they recieved it and ask for appointment, do research on the company, be prepared for standard interview questions, send thank you emails to everyone you meet with, etc.

Go for it, and Good luck!

What do the numbers and letters on a canvased painting stand for?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

I have what looks like an authentic painting of Christ in Gethsemane by Hoffman? There are numbers and letters penciled on the back of what looks like canvas. Do these help authenticate the painting? There is no signature on the painting.

Hi! The original is at Riverside Church in
New York City. They have three paintings
by Heinrich Hofmann that were donated by
John D. Rockefeller, Jr.:
"Christ in Gethsemane" (1890), "Christ in the Temple"
(1871) and " Christ and the Rich Young Man" (1889).
The numbers on your piece must be inventory and/or
distribution codes by the firm that reproduced it.
I hope this helps!

How to write a character letter to a judge who is doing the sentencing?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

I am writing a character letter to a judge who will be sentencing one of my friends. He was involved in an accidental hunting accident. According to the judge the sentence for involuntary manslaughter can go anywhere from 0-20 years. The main purpose of the letter is to get him a lower sentencing. How do I start such a letter to a judge?

First you must address the judge as The Honorable (full name)_____.
Then Dear Judge (last name and title ; if any such as Chief Judge)__________. Then state the purpose of your communication (name of defendant and this a letter in support of that person). Then state how and why (under what circumstances you have known this person : how (and how long), what , why ,where, etc. Next paragraph explain describe the positive activities the defendant has engaged in, and include any public service (PTA, Boy Scouts. etc.) or how the community would "miss" his contributions.
Next explain, how in your opinion, that society would not be served by incarceration and then ask the court for (or probation; suspended sentence, or whatever you "want" to ask for; or simply "leniency" ) You need to state what it is you are hoping for. Then explain why you think this event(such as) " a once in a lifetime" mistake in judgment and that the defendant is not a danger to society.. If you know, you should state any remorse your friend feels for the event and how you know this. Include your remorse for the victim and the family.
Thank the judge for reading your letter. And (if you wish) offer to be present at the sentencing hearing. (then your signature).
DO NOTS: blame the victim the cops, witnesses etc.; do not explain the event (that was already done in court, you will be insulting the courts intelligence and the ruling); do not tell (or imply) the court they were wrong; do not state anything you do not know first hand (unless you indicate the reliable source); do not embellish or fabricate (Judges "crap detectors really work well and that negate your letter by impacting your credibility and you will do more harm than good); do not use "informal" language or slang;
DO "type" (not handwritten) the letter and use good paper and address it correctly (with titles) and full address including the Chamber. Do include your full contact information including your phone number. Hand sign and date your signature. My sympathies to all involved in this tragedy.

Can a notary in California write a letter for a client then notarize the signatures on that letter?

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Can a notary in California write a letter for a client then notarize the signatures on that letter for the client? A client needs a letter stating that she rents a room in a house in order to qualify her child to go to a certain school district. She wants me to write the letter for her and for me to notarize the signatures of her and the property owner. Yay or nay???? Would prefer advice from professional.

When you notarize something you are not specifying that the item that was signed is true, you are saying that the signature of the person was put there by the person you saw sign it.

I do not know why she does not want to write her own letter but she can certainly hire someone to compose a letter for her and that person could be you.

Many school districts have form letters for this kind of thing. If every person going to school had to write their own letter, and get the landlord to sign it the school district would go batty trying to read all the different letters.

How to get my letter of recommendation for medical school written?

Monday, October 12th, 2009

I am currently applying to both MD and DO programs. I am all set with MD, but have not finished the DO. I shadowed a DO and she offered to write me a letter 4 months ago. My applications are being held up because I am waiting for this one letter. How do I get her to finish the letter for me? I have been e-mailing her but there has been no response. She had no difficulty replying before the letter was discussed. The letter is due in a month, and that is little time to get someone else to write one. Any suggestions on how I can politely get the message through?

If at all possible I would try to meet her face to face. I would begin by saying how nice of her to committ to thating time out of her busy scheduele to write the letter in the first place and then follow up in reminding her how important this letter is to you and your future. I would also add that if the letter does not get completed there are certain negative effects that will occur. Mention a few of them in a calmly manner. Once she sees your genuine concern, and how much you are relying on this letter she will understand. I would also offer to give her suggestions as to what to include in the letter, perhaps I would go as so far as writing a letter of recommendation for her approval and signature. This eliminates the burden of her time to write you this letter and you get to say exactly what you want the letter to state, all at the same time getting her to endorse it.

I was in a similar situation in the past and the above steps accomplished my goal in getting a letter of recommendation.

One final tip, set up a very specific time and location to pick up the letter. It would also "grease the wheels" if you approached her with a coffee or tea, to break the ice both when you ask her to get the letter written and again when you pick the letter up. Do not be cheap get her the large!

Hope that helps! Just in case explore other options or other people that can write you a letter of recommendation. As a plan B, even if you feel there is no time.
